ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
(Am I permitted to attend the PERC Teacher Job Fair?) You MUST have an education degree and/or certification, be a candidate for an OT/PT/SLP degree, or a school counseling degree. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE. Also, registering for the fair signs off your name for any pictures taken and used to promote the job fair. Participating Schools Questions? REGISTRATION & FEES (How can I register and what are the fees?) Pre-Registration: Fee to attend the fair is $5.00 and registration can be completed online or at the office of Career Services at your university/college. The deadline to apply is March 20th by 4:30 p.m. Walk-In Registration: If you are registering the day of the event, you must meet the eligibility requirements mentioned above, submit a $25.00 registration fee (CASH ONLY), and produce either a valid student ID or a copy of your transcript. Candidates from non-member institutions: You are permitted to attend; however, you must use the on-site registration option at a cost of $50.00 (CASH ONLY).
WHAT TO EXPECT (Who will be recruiting at this event?) You can expect to speak with recruiters from over 190 school districts from across the United States. Some recruiters will be conducting "on-the-spot" interviews and/or offering employment contracts on-site. Upon arrival, you may want to review the event directory which will list the certification areas being recruited at each school district.
WHAT TO WEAR (What should I wear?) Professional dress is required for this event. Wear a business suit and bring resumes. Parking for Job Seekers All candidates attending the PERC Teacher Job Fair MUST park at the Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills, 590 Pittsburgh Mills Circle, Tarentum, PA 15084. Take Route 28 to Exit 12A. Make a left and follow the "PERC Teacher Job Fair Parking" signs. Turn right to get to the back of the mall, where parking and shuttles are available by Entrance 5, near the old Linen N Things and next to Macy's. Parking at Pittsburgh Mills and transportation to PISA is provided at no charge. Marked shuttles will be running continuously between the Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills and the Pittsburgh Indoor Sports Arena starting at 8:00am. Handicapped parking will be available at PISA.
